Welcome to Bhava Ideations
With the concept of “Bhava Ideations- Coming Home”, our objective is to provide an experience for domestic as well as international tourists to explore the concept of a second home.
Bhava is providing an opportunity for them to stay with the local family houses of India to experience the beauty and charm of our authentic regional customs, local festivals, traditions, cultural activities of villages, and to enjoy the unique regional cuisines of our land.
The main attraction for homestays is that they allow tourists to taste the local ‘ flavour’ of a destination at an affordable cost – not only in terms of authentic, home-cooked local cuisine but also to get to know the lifestyle of the locals.
One interesting branch of homestays in India is the eco-tourism concept, which takes it several steps further and opens the doors of India’s remotest hinterlands and villages to domestic and global tourists, giving them a ‘hands-on’ experience of rural India with all its quaint ‘limitations’.
Eco-tourism is an unbeatable ‘back-to-nature’ twist to the homestay ethos that many foreign tourists find incredibly attractive.
Homestays as a Livelihood Strategy
Tourism activities that embrace the principles of ecotourism can empower a community and preserve its social, cultural and natural resources. One strategy to develop community-based ecotourism is by encouraging homestays. Research on development activities found that homestays were one of the top activities promoted in communities to help reduce the incidence of rural poverty. A program could easily be implemented because startup costs were low; affordable and inexpensive lodging was provided to the tourist; implementation in remote areas was possible; funds directly impacted the local economy; and the cultural and natural heritage of the location could be shared with the tourist.
